Dover Finance Committee Organizes Working Groups, Sets Leadership Ballot Deadline
DOVER — June 4, 2025 — Dover's Finance Committee organized its fiscal year 2027 work plan at a June 4 meeting, approving liaison assignments and outlining up to four internal working groups. Chair Woody told members he had received only two nominations after three weeks of solicitation — himself for chair and member Simony for vice chair — and directed all six members to submit ballots within one week to a member identified as Cam for tabulation. The committee prioritized revising its "blue book" reference guide, strengthening the budget guidance letter process, and improving community outreach, with members discussing a joint calendar with the Select Board and town administration to set hard deadlines ahead of town meeting. The panel also flagged a heavy Planning Board liaison load ahead, with two MBTA-related special town meetings scheduled for September 29 and November. Reserve fund transfer votes are set for June 25.
