Board of Selectmen · Meeting of August 6, 2026
Dover Board of Selectmen moves toward hiring an engineer for its aging fuel storage tank, calling it a "ticking time bomb." The three-member board, chaired by Dave with members Cam and Robin, agreed to bring a formal vote to its next meeting authorizing engineering work and a possible reserve fund transfer of roughly $16,900 if a pending state earmark in Governor Healy's $305 million economic development bill doesn't come through in time. The board unanimously adopted Dover's first written investment policy, effective August 6, 2026, and approved Barrett Planning Group's proposal to update the town's housing production plan. Town Administrator Mike reported 21 warning letters issued for drought violations, with the region's drought status possibly easing from level two to level one within days.
The board also accepted a $9,153.50 state grant for DPW fleet GPS tracking and waived building permit fees for the Dover library pavilion project.
