Dover Zoning Board approves an Airbnb permit for a Church Street couple relocating to Manhattan.
Zoning Board · Meeting of April 9, 2026
Dover Zoning Board approves an Airbnb permit for a Church Street couple relocating to Manhattan. The board voted 4-0 Thursday to grant Amberley and Gregory Corolitz a special permit to rent their 23 Church Street home short-term for up to 180 days a year while Gregory's job keeps the family in New York; associate member Nancy Green recused herself as a neighbor. Conditions bar on-street parking, pets, smoking, drugs and parties, and require a vetted platform such as Airbnb plus a hired property manager.
One neighbor objected, warning it "opens up a Pandora's box," while supporter Kristen Bartlett argued "there are already existing Airbnbs in Dover." Separately, the board directed attorney Vincent O'Brien to draft approval of a Strawberry Hill Street horse farm reconstruction and floated raising its $150 application fee to $400, in line with Weston's rate.
