DOVER — Warrant Committee receives FY27 budget overview; departmental reviews begin February 9. Town Administrator Michael Blanchard and Assistant Town Administrator/Finance Director Chris Costello presented the preliminary FY27 budget framework, which targets 2.5 percent operating growth while seeking to preserve services and remain within Proposition 2½ limits. Capital requests total approximately 5.9 million dollars, with the Department of Public Works fuel island project as the largest line item.
Board of Selectmen's Liaison Robyn Hunter told the Committee that the preliminary deficit reflects capital timing and policy choices rather than an operating imbalance.
