Warrant Committee approves $2.215M in capital projects, tables two items

Dover's Warrant Committee unanimously approved five capital budget articles totaling $2.215 million for May Town Meeting. Chair Woodrow Weiss and six members voted to recommend projects including a $1,725,000 replacement of the aging fuel island at the DPW facility, a $135,000 Ford F450 dump truck replacement, a $180,000 John Deere backhoe replacement, a $30,000 tractor with mower deck, and a $145,000 DPW radio system upgrade to dual-band VHF/P25 technology. The Committee tabled a $150,000 Town Center traffic improvements article pending Board of Selectmen action and the Caryl Park water tank replacement pending cost and system clarification.
