Planning Board · Meeting of May 6, 2026

Dover Tree Preservation Committee launches bylaw development with MAPC consultants. Chair Valerie Lin and Metropolitan Area Planning Council representatives Diana Marsh and Jiwon Park presented a timeline calling for five committee meetings, stakeholder interviews with land use staff, developers and marginalized groups, and two community forums (one remote around June 8, 2026; one in-person in September). The bylaw will address how to define hazardous trees and set retention or removal percentages while ensuring regulations support rather than obstruct development.

Town Planner Melissa Santucci and Lin will serve as primary contacts for the project.
