Board of Selectmen · Meeting of July 22, 2026

DOVER — Town Meeting Review Committee approves procedural and logistical improvements to annual town meeting. The committee reviewed more than 20 community suggestions and reached consensus on prohibiting microphone shut-offs for speakers exceeding time limits, displaying exact motion text on projector screens, requiring only official role-holders on stage, and implementing consistent town branding on official documents. Additional changes include QR codes on meeting materials, a year-round town meeting webpage button, plain-language Warrant Committee explanations with minority vote disclosure, and inviting high school civics classes to participate in preparation.

The committee will meet again to address more complex issues including meeting timing and attendance strategies.
