Dover School Committee postpones curriculum coordinator positions due to joint fiscal constraints. Superintendent Beth McCoy presented instructional leadership and elementary scheduling studies recommending standardized specials, strengthened social-emotional learning, and new K-12 STEM and Humanities coordinator roles, but the Administration deferred the coordinator additions to FY28. The Committee reached consensus for the Administration to consider adding one Curriculum Coordinator for FY27 at a cost of $28,000 for the schools and $56,000 regionally.
Five committee members attended the February 3 meeting, which also heard community comments on the proposed elementary schedule changes.
