Planning Board backs zoning amendments on accessory dwellings and site review.

Planning Board · Meeting of April 13, 2026

Dover Planning Board endorses zoning amendments on accessory dwellings and site plan review. The board voted unanimously to recommend Article 18, which clarifies accessory dwelling unit standards, and voted 3-1 to recommend Article 19, which revises the site plan review process and recodes the use table for clarity. Chair Carol Lisbon indicated the board will continue refining exemptions for accessory structures and short-term rental rules in the coming year, deferring items such as trampolines and short-term rental review to future study.

The amendments go to the May Town Meeting for voter approval.
