Dover-Sherborn Regional School Committee approves revised FY27 operating budget at 3.72 percent increase. The $30,170,188 budget cuts town assessments by $502,676 compared to an earlier draft, incorporating $122,676 in additional state revenue and $406,000 in staffing savings through retirements and enrollment-driven position reductions. Superintendent McCoy detailed declining enrollment — high school falling from 679 students in 2019 to a projected 557 by 2027 — and presented findings from instructional leadership and elementary instructional time studies that constrain expansion plans for curriculum coordinators and Spanish instruction.
The committee unanimously approved the budget, donations totaling $500 to the Robotics team, and an overnight field trip for the Inquiry Club to Dartmouth College Model United Nations Conference.
