DOVER FIRE BOARD APPROVES MONTHLY VOUCHERS, HEARS OPERATIONAL REPORTS

Dover's Board of Fire Engineers approved $33,630.58 in monthly vouchers at its May 4 meeting. Board Chair Kate Cannie and Clerk James P. Dawley received a report from Chief Gerry Smith covering 29 fire responses and 28 ambulance responses in April, with year-to-date totals of 123 fire responses and 134 ambulance responses.

The department received two State-approved grants for gear and SAFE equipment in April. Firefighter Ben Colangelo graduated second in his Fire Academy class. Inspector Ed Kornak reported inspection activity including smoke and carbon monoxide inspections, propane tank work, oil tank installations and removals, and miscellaneous inspections.
