Dover Declares Level 2 Drought, Restricts Outdoor Watering

DOVER — The Town of Dover declared a Level 2 Significant Drought this week, limiting nonessential outdoor water use to hand-held hoses or watering cans between 5 p.m. and 9 a.m. as dry conditions persist across the region.

TOWN HALL Town officials posted the Level 2 Significant Drought declaration as a News Flash, citing ongoing dry conditions in Dover. Under the restriction, nonessential outdoor watering is limited to hand-held hoses or watering cans, and only after 5 p.m. and before 9 a.m.; other nonessential outdoor water use is barred until conditions improve.

Separately, Aquarion Water Company joined the Board of Selectmen for a public information session to review options for resolving water quality problems affecting Aquarion customers in town, including discolored water and the presence of PFAS.
