Dover Council on Aging approves transportation policy and reviews FY27 grant funding.

Dover Council on Aging approves transportation policy governing medical and non-medical rides. The board unanimously endorsed the formal transportation policies and programs document, which Director Janet Claypoole will review with town counsel. Treasurer's reports for December and January showed operating expenses of $2,815.99 and $3,534.49 respectively.

The Governor's proposed FY27 budget maintains the state Formula Grant at $16 per elder, yielding $23,152 for Dover; the state revised the FY26 distribution to three spring payments with final payment expected mid-April. Outreach Coordinator Nan Vaida returned from medical leave on January 12, with nine applications received for an open outreach coordinator position.
