Council on Aging · Meeting of January 6, 2026

Dover Council on Aging approves $367,965 amended FY2027 budget. Director Janet Claypoole and member Robert Cocks presented the budget, which increased by $1,439 following a correction in salary worksheets for two missing work days. The motion passed unanimously.

Claypoole reported that the Outreach Coordinator position, posted in November with only two applications, has been reposted in January to recruit more candidates; Outreach Coordinator Nan Vaida has been out since December 18 on medical leave. Claypoole is developing a COA transportation policy addressing barriers for seniors physically unable to board buses unassisted, with no wheelchair transportation currently available.
