DOVER — A Dover Conservation Commission working group narrowed the scope of a town-wide land management initiative and proposed a revised $24,000 appropriation for a "Conservation Land Use Framework Project." Conservation Agent Janet Hartke Bowser, along with members Anna Nagy and Rick Nagy, realigned FY26 budget allocations in response to feedback from the Conservation Commission and Warrant Committee, consolidating benches and water mitigation work ($5,000), allocating spring maintenance ($5,000), and dedicating the bulk of the revised proposal to a strategic five-year framework designed to guide trails improvement and increase wetland protection. The working group concluded the town has handled individual land issues effectively but lacks a coordinated plan.
