DOVER — Capital Budget Committee defers major heating system upgrades pending geothermal feasibility study. Chair Barry Goldman and members heard presentations on Town House oil tank replacement ($45,000), Smith Boiler replacement ($47,000), Weil McClain Boiler repair ($11,000), and a heat pump alternative ($50,000) from Karl Warnick of Dover Facilities and Building Administration. The committee unanimously approved January 27 minutes and established a February 17 deadline for Warnick to deliver a preliminary feasibility study on a full geothermal and heat pump system; the committee reconvenes February 10.
Liaisons reported progress on Parks and Recreation capital planning and Department of Public Works priority-setting for the fiscal 2027 capital budget cycle.
