Dover Board of Health schedules public hearing on well and pool regulations. Chair Kay Petersen, Member John Quackenbush, and Member Stephen Kruskall unanimously voted to hold the hearing on October 6, with Health Director Jason Belmonte reporting that Town Counsel has reviewed the proposed revisions. The PFAS provisions require PFAS-6 testing "at minimum" to allow flexibility as standards are updated, and the board agreed to use the same enforcement language for both well and pool regulations, with warnings for first violations and fines for repeat violations.
The board also discussed rodenticide impacts on wildlife with Animal Control Officer Christine DiNatale and wildlife rescuer Jane Newhouse, with Member Kruskall suggesting a ban on town property.
