DOVER — The Board of Selectmen Membership Size Study Committee heard pitches from two consulting firms on how to evaluate a possible change in board composition. The Edward J. Collins, Jr.
Center for Public Management at UMass Boston proposed a four- to five-month survey-focused approach, while Capital Strategic Solutions offered a two- to three-month study involving interviews and peer-community research. The committee, led by ex-officio members David Haviland and Town Administrator Michael Blanchard, asked both teams about comparable projects and selection criteria but deferred a decision until May 19.
