Board of Health expands citizen comment period to ten minutes

DOVER — Board of Health expands citizen comment time, nominates dual animal inspectors. The Board of Health voted unanimously to extend its citizen comment period to ten minutes while preserving a three-minute limit per speaker. Health Director Jason Belmonte and Animal Inspector Jen Cronin were nominated as Animal Inspectors in a 2-0 vote, with Member Stephen Kruskall abstaining.
The Board heard a presentation on a Community Health Assessment survey launching in late April covering 60 questions across four municipalities in collaboration with the Charles River Public Health District. Director Belmonte reported that Dover has received approximately 75,000 dollars in opioid settlement funds to date, with roughly 250,000 dollars expected through 2039, and the Board agreed to research allowable uses before deciding how to deploy the funds.
