Dover fire board approves monthly vouchers, hires new firefighters. Chair Kate Cannie, Clerk James P. Dawley, and Member Paul Copponi approved vouchers totaling $6,916.40 for ambulance services and $10,477.76 for fire operations.

Chief Gerry Smith reported 34 fire and 46 ambulance responses in January, with six new firefighters hired and a new Engine 1 now operational. Inspector Ed Kornak reported 5 smoke and carbon monoxide inspections, 4 propane tank installations, and 14 miscellaneous safety inspections during the month. The Warrant Committee meets via Zoom on January 9 to discuss FY27 budgets for Fire and Ambulance services.
