Board appoints Mitchell as EMS lieutenant, reviews capital building proposal

DOVER — Board of Fire Engineers names Mitchell as EMS lieutenant during April meeting. The board approved routine vouchers totaling $28,156.19 and reviewed a proposal for a Protective Services Building study that the Capital Budget Committee unanimously approved for the May Town Meeting warrant. Fire Chief Gerry Smith reported March activity including 31 fire responses and 26 ambulance responses.

The department took delivery of a new Engine 1 and received an equipment grant of $10,899.
